Our Process

Submit an inquiry on our Contact page to have a member of our team reach out to answer any questions you may have.

Cabinetry & Construction Estimate: If you already have detailed designs that include dimensioned floor plan, elevations, cabinet inserts & material choices, then we are happy to provide you with an estimate off that information.

Design Services: If you would like to work with our in-house designer, please check out the Design Services page to see design package options. Calley will work with you to design a space that fits the way you live. If you chose our Full Service design package, she will also work with you to select all finishes & fixtures (countertop, tile, sink, faucet, lighting, etc.) Once we have a design plan, we will get you an estimate.

Down Payment: A small down payment, along with signing your contract, will get your project booked on our calendar. Please keep in mind that we are usually booking projects a few months out.

Project Start: Once your project starts, we do our best to make it as painless as possible. We keep our jobsites clean and organized and we keep the client updated on schedules and progress. We can take care of scheduling plumbers & electricians that we recommend (or we can use your preferred company).

Project Completion: When all construction and installation is complete and the client is happy with the results, we will do a final cleaning and take some photos for our portfolio. Then you get to enjoy your newly completed space!

Meet the Team


  • Owner

    Travis has been a licensed electrician and in the construction industry for 18 years. He has experience in new construction and remodeling, specializing in tiling, flooring, drywall, cabinetry and finish work. He earned an Associate’s Degree in Electronics from Lake Superior College in 2007. He prides himself on his attention to detail and strong work ethic.

  • Lead Designer

    Calley graduated from UW-Stout in 2010 with bachelor’s degrees in both Interior Design and Retail Management. She has worked in many areas of the design industry from furniture, flooring & countertop sales to kitchen & bath design and drafting. At Maki Built, she works with clients on space planning, custom cabinetry design and material selection. She then compiles it into detailed floor plans, elevations, and realistic 3-D renderings to help clients visualize their space before any construction begins. She has been working with Travis for the last 3 years.
